As seen on the runways, the trend of dramatic colors can be seen in the wedding cakes too. The colors, which were considered a little too theatrical for the cakes until last year, are now considered in vogue. However, the customary white and the jewel themed black and white cake will also be in style in 2011.

This three-tiered topsy turvy birthday cake is wrapper in ivory, pink and orange fondant. Large pink fondant bow highlights the top tier . Large fondant white , pink and orange daisies decorate bottom and middle tiers. Flavors include chocolate cake with chocolate hazelnut buttercream .

Graduation Cake



It’s that time of year again – lots of graduations to prepare for! We used USF colors ( gold and green) and USF logo for this graduation cake. Marzipan girl sculpture was a miniature replica of Ashley, who loves sports and Graduated USF with honors. A weight bar with different weights stacked up made out of gum paste. Flavors included marble cake with cream cheese butter cream. Chocolate fondant was used as a second layer of icing.
